This guide provides answers to some of the most frequently encountered errors across the MergeUp package. Simply locate the error code that you are receiving and follow the steps to resolve the issue.

Merging Documents

0101-0000

If you attempted to merge a document, but the merge errored with code "0101-0000", the most likely cause is an authentication issue. To resolve this, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the errored Merge Log to review the specific details about the error.

2. If the error message is "The callout couldn't access the endpoint. You might not have the required permissions, or the named credential "MergeUp_API" might not exist.":

   • Contact your administrator to validate that the authentication required for MergeUp is configured correctly. (See Step 2: Create Connected App and Auth. Provider)

3. If the error message is "The external credential "MergeUp_API_Ex" isn't authenticated. Authenticate the credential or contact your Salesforce admin.":

   • You need to authenticate your user for merging. Contact your administrator if you need assistance completing the authentication. (See Authenticating Your User for Merging)

If the issue persists even after following these steps, please don't hesitate to contact MergeUp support for further assistance.

0008-xxxx

If you attempted to merge a document, but the merge errored with code starting with 0008, the most likely cause is that the Queries are not configured properly on the Template. Please contact your administrator to validate that the Queries are configured correctly on the Template.

0006-0101

If you attempted to merge a document, but the merge errored with code 0006-0101, the most likely cause is that there are errors in your Template. Please contact your administrator to fix any errors contained in the Template. Any errors in the Template can be quickly found by following the Testing a Template guide.

0101-0502

If you attempted to merge a document, but the merge errored with code 0101-0502, an invalid parameter was used in the Additional Parameters section of the Template's settings. Ensure the Additional Parameters field only contains valid options, which are listed in Using Additional Parameters

0201-0200

If you encounter the merge error code 0201-0200, a network error occurred while the merge was processing. Please reach out to MergeUp support if you repeatedly receive this error code.

Setting Up MergeUp

When the MergeUp Setup Flow fails, you may see the error: “Something went wrong configuring MergeUp. Please try again or contact support at heroes@mergeup.io.” To troubleshoot, open Apex Jobs and look for any failures in the mergeUpSetup_Queueable Apex class. The guidance below will help you resolve the most common errors.

FIELD_INTEGRITY_EXCEPTION, The <NAME> permission set group is updating. You can make edits to this permission set when the group update completes.

This error means Salesforce is still updating a Permission Set Group that contains either the MergeUp Admin or MergeUp User permission sets. While the update is in progress, the group is locked, and its permission sets can’t be modified. Because the MergeUp Setup Flow needs to remove the old permission sets from the group and add the updated ones, setup cannot complete until the update finishes.
Wait a few minutes for Salesforce to finish updating the group, then run the setup again.
