Overview

In the process of letting MergeUp AI create your templates you need to provide it with some preliminary information. In these steps you will be identifying the primary object and other objects needed to reference the required information for your document. With a refined document summary the MergeUp AI will better be able to produce a template that fully meets your needs.

Steps

1. Access the MergeUp Manager App by clicking the waffle icon in the top left corner of your Salesforce instance and choosing MergeUp Manager from the dropdown menu.

   

2. Navigate to MergeUp Templates by selecting the MergeUp Templates tab within the MergeUp Manager app's top tabs.

   

3. Initiate template creation from the MergeUp Templates page's standard list view by clicking the New button at the top right corner.

   

4. Select the AI-assisted method to create your MergeUp Template. If making a standard template refer to Creating a New Template.

   

5. Upload an example document.

   

6. View and potentially edit the objects that will be used to query and reference the fields required for your document. Do this carefully as the objects you select are critical to the success of your template. Click Next to have AI identify the fields in your document.

   • Primary Object: Defines where all data for your template will be stemming from. This is what will turn into the record query. To learn more visit About Queries.

   • Other Objects: These are the objects referenced and or passed through to get records related to the primary object. For example:

     Note: The Account object will still need to be in Other Objects as it is used to find the appropriate email found in Contact.

     Invoice.Account.Contact.Email__c

      

   

7. If needed, edit the document summary section, seen above, doing so will provide MergeUp's AI model with greater context to generate the document you desire.

Conclusion

Without the correct objects selected, your template will not be correct. Identifying the correct objects and providing a thorough document summary allows for the first iteration of your template to be the best it can be.
