Prerequisites

• Ensure that you have already created a query that you want to add fields to: Creating a New Query
• Ensure that you have all of the necessary permissions to create query fields.

Overview

Enhance the power of your MergeUp queries by adding specific fields that matter most to you. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to customize your query results, ensuring you get the exact data you need for your templates.

Steps

1. Navigate to the template where you want to make changes, and select the query you wish to modify within the "Template Data" tab.

   

2. Click the Add Fields button, which is situated in the Fields component which appeared when you selected the query.

   

3. Within the modal that appears, check the checkboxes next to the fields you want to add, and if desired, select fields from a parent object by looking for the lookup field and using the dropdown to the left of the name to reveal that object's fields.

   

4.  your changes by clicking the Confirm button at the bottom of the modal.
   

   

Notes

• There is a standard Salesforce limit allowing you to select up to 5 levels above the base object in a single query, so you will be unable to select fields from any level greater than 5 above the base object.
