Prerequisites

• Your user has necessary access permissions to the MergeUp Manager app and its related objects.
• You have created at least one template that is NOT connected to a template group.
• You have at least one template group set up.

Overview

In the process of creating templates for various objects, it's often desirable to reuse the same set of queries, data, and field references. This ensures consistency and streamlines the template creation process. When you've already established a template group for one object, you can easily incorporate another template into the same group. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add a template into a preexisting template group.

Steps

1. Access the MergeUp Manager App, navigate to the "MergeUp Templates" tab, and select the desired template from the list to add it to a preexisting template group.

2. Upon selecting a template, you should be sent to the "Template Data" tab. Click on the "Select Existing Group" button.

   

3. A modal will display a list of available template groups; choose the desired group, then click "Confirm" to proceed.

   

4. After choosing the template group, the modal will close, and you will be redirected back to the template data tab for the selected template. You should now observe that the queries, expressions, and other settings from the previous template group have been seamlessly added to the current template.

   

Notes

• Keep in mind that any changes you make to queries or expressions in this template will also impact other templates within the same template group. Changes are mirrored across templates sharing the group.
