Overview

The Using Merge Single Document LWC - Record and the "General" options both utilize the same component, with their distinction lying in the chosen template group. When placed on a non-record page, the component exclusively offers the selection of a general template group. These template groups are not limited to individual records; rather, they encompass multiple records, facilitating comprehensive reporting for your documents as well as other functionality.

Parameters

Use these parameters when adding a Merge Single Document component to a page to modify its behavior:

• Template Group: A list of template groups you can select that will show its related templates on the "Select a Template to merge" drop down menu. General template groups will always be selectable.

• Merged File Type Option: A list that allows you to select the final file type outcome for your document. Options include:

  • Pull from Template: Always merge the document as the file type defined in the Merged File Type field on the template.
  • Same as Template: Always merge the document as the same file type as the template.
  • PDF Only: Always merge the document as a PDF. This option is currently only valid for 'DOCX' and 'PDF' type templates.
  • Select on Merge: Merge the document as one of the available file types displayed as buttons in the component.
• Custom Header (optional): The text that displays as the header of your Merge Single Document Component. This text field is defaulted to "MergeUp Document Generation".

• When there are not general template groups, no options will show when selecting your "Template Group" parameter.
• General templates can be selected on any page, even record pages.
